More about skiing in Les GetsLes Gets, France is part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski system, a huge skiing area (over 650km of piste) encompassing 14 ski resorts (including Morzine, Avoriaz and Chatel) in France and Switzerland. Les Gets is one of the prettiest resorts that make up the wider area, and with the local Les Gets/ Morzine ski pass including the Morzine ski area, the skiing is fantastic too. The great thing about Les Gets Skiing is that there is skiing for all abilities: There is a well-developed beginners area serviced by a brand new bubble lift from the village centre, a good variety of blues and reds and a handful of challenging blacks for the more daring. The off piste when you ski Les Gets is great, and if you want to really push yourself one day then a tour of the Portes du Soleil will delight and tire the hardiest of skiers! |

Les Gets is a charming village, bedecked with twinkly lights in the winter, and bursting with independent retailers, who line the streets of this bustling little Alpine town. Some of the highlights in the Les Gets winter calendar include the annual dog-sled race which comes right through the town centre and the Ebouelle contest, where the pro skiers show us how to do it and take a daring ski jump, landing directly in Les Gets village centre! |
