Pass’Portes Festival

The Pass’Portes du Soleil is an awesome mountain bike festival involving 4000 bikers riding through 7 resorts in both France and Switzerland, and heralds the official summer opening of the lifts in the Portes du Soleil (so don’t worry about there being too much uphill!).

The dates
This coming summer it will be held on the 26th and 27th June 2010. As it’s a one-day event you can choose to enter on the saturday or sunday, and can choose which resort you’d like to start from.

What happens
There are three different circuits (30, 45 and 75km) so everyone can join in on the occasion. The circuits take you through beautiful mountain scenery on great trails, and your ticket includes food at the numerous food festivals enroute which boast local specialities. During the 2 days that the festival takes place their is a mountain bike show held in one resort, featuring the top brand names in the business and showing the top gear (which you can try out).
